Oh well, five years passed and I’m on my 6th year in the gulf. I’m not really on material things but… if I’d be buying something, it should be all worth it. Worth the price, the quality, and it must be useful. Call it a worldly dream timeline which I’ve never thought I’d be able to have as early as I could barely imagine.
In 2008, thinking that I’d be leaving Dubai for good, I bought a home theatre package which includes a JVC LCD TV with stand, DVD player, component speakers, and subwoofer. I refer to it as a parting gift (a memory of my Dubai experience).
On the same year in July end, I had arranged a three-day trip to Singapore with mom. All-expense paid by myself, of course.
Early of the following year, 2009, as a birthday gift for me and family, I bought a brand new car, Toyota Innova 2009 model (the latest that year). This had been my most expensive purchased so far. The car was released exactly on my birthday but it reached our hometown the next day.
For 2011, I bought my longtime dream phone, iPhone 4. Weeee! My kuya from Australia bought it for me and was able to have it before New Year.
I’m still excited for 2012. Can’t hardly wait to see what is in store for me this year. I’m still in the hope of buying our dream house and lot, owning a condotel unit, a MAC book, and a food business.
Above all, I thank Him for giving us all these gifts. He grants and rewards His people according to His plan.
